Research

My research examines the role of knowledge in policy and politics. My current project focuses on understanding how epistemic and bureaucratic cultures shape the production of policy evidence and the meaning and practice of contemporary democracy and accountability reforms in Mexico. This empirical research has inspired a second strand of scholarship focused on ethnographic theory, method, and the sociology of sociology.
